FestCurtasBH – Belo Horizonte International Short Film Festival, one of the most important events of diffusion and promotion of the short film format in Brazil, announces the call for entries for its 22nd edition. The festival is due to take place at Cine Humberto Mauro from August 14 to August 23, 2020.

Filmmakers may submit their short films from February 12 to March 30, 2020 through the online platform Shortfilmdepot (www.shortfilmdepot.com). All genres are accepted, except advertising and/or institutional films, in DCP, 35mm and/or 16mm screening formats.

The curating and selection of the short films that will compose the program of the festival will be in charge of a Committee of Selection, invited by the festival’s organization, that will also be responsible for deciding in which sections of the festival the selected films will be featured. Later, the selected list will become available to participants.

During the festival, a specialized Jury will take into consideration all films screened in the Competitive sections and will choose the winners of the Capivara’s Award of Best Film in each category (Minas, Brazil and International).
