- National Cláudia Mesquita Cláudia Mesquita is a cinema scholar and holds a Masters degree and a PhD from the School of Arts and Communication at Universidade de Sao Paulo. She currently teaches at the Social Communication Department at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG). She also works as a researcher and producer of documentary films, having been part of the teams behind Saudade do Futuro (César & Marie-Clemence Paes, 2000), Peões (Eduardo Coutinho, 2004), Em Trânsito (Henri Gervaiseau, 2005), and co-directed, with Junia Torres, Nos olhos de Mariquinha (2008). From 2007 until 2010 she taught at the Cinema Graduate program at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC). She published, in co-authorship with Consuelo Lins, the book Filmar o Real – which deals with contemporary Brazilian documentary cinema (Jorge Zahar Edito Mário Luís da Cunha Micaelo Mario Micaelo was born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in 1965 and is of Portuguese nationality. He graduated in Fine Arts – Painting - and attended the Masters in Multimedia Art program at Faculdade de Belas Artes in Porto. Founder of the Vila do Conde Cineclub, in 1990, and of the Vila do Conde International Short-film Festival, in 1993, of which he is still a member in the director's board. Founder of the Short-film CRL (Cultural Production Cooperative) of which he is artistic director and participant in all its programming, and mainly the expositions at Solar - Galeria de Arte Cinemática and the Estaleiro das Artes, a programming and cultural production project. He also teaches Visual Arts in Secondary Education since 1986. Reto Bühler Born 1975 in Geneva. Studied Philosophy, Cinema Studies and Russian Linguistics at the University of Zurich. Since 2004, he has worked as a freelance film journalist for the Tages-Anzeiger newspaper and other publications. Since 2006, he lectures at the Department of Cinema Studies of the University of Zurich, and since April 2005, he is the artistic director of the International Short Film Festival Winterthur.
- International Lis Kogan Lis Kogan graduated from Universidade Federal Fluminense with a degree in cinema. Since the early 2000's she has been involved with projects related to cinema, such as Porta Curtas and Synapse. Since 2007 she is responsible for the Brazilian programming of the Rio de Janeiro International Short-film Festival – Curta Cinema and, since 2009, executes the Novíssimo Cinema Brasileiro and Semana dos Realizadores projects, also in Rio de Janeiro. Ricardo Mehedff Ricardo Mehedff is a director and editor graduated at George Washington University with a degree in cinema. As a director, he is responsible for several renowned short-films, such as Capital Circulante, Um Branco Súbito and Noite Aberta. His award winning films were selected for more than 100 festivals, including some of the main events around the globe, including Rotterdamn Festival, Oberhausen, Havana, Guadalajara, Uppsala, Los Angeles, Nova York , Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. Ricardo has also a renowned curriculum as an editor. His works include: Favela on Blast by Leandro Hbl, Os Gracies e o nascimento do Vale Tudo by Victor César Bota, Irma Vap: O Retorno, by Carla Camurati, the O2 Filmes production Antonia: a série, O Casamento de Romeu e Julieta by Bruno Barreto and Carandiru: Outras Historias (the episodes directed by Walter Carvalho). Ricardo also brought innovations to the trailer market in Brazil, creating and editing several trailers in the last ten years. Yann Beauvais Yann Beauvais (1953, paris) made 50 films & videos as well as installations. Founded Light Cone in 1982 and Scratch Projections in 1983 (Paris). Live in Paris and São Paulo, critic, teacher at Mulhouse’s Art School.
