Yann Beauvais Session - Presentation

In 2010, Yann Beauvais taught an introduction to experimental cinema course, in the 12th edition of the International Short Film Festival of Belo Horizonte. On the occasion, there was a great student interest in the screened films and we began and discussed the plan to hold a show that would allow the public of Belo Horizonte to come closer to the universe of experimental films. The result was the show “Cinema to Think” presented by Yann at the festival this year.

Taking advantage of the continuity of this partnership and the presence of the curator and director, we invited Yann Beauvais to present a session with a selection of his films. Yann has an extensive filmography, with over fifty films since the early 70's. This session will be only a small sample of his work, but a good opportunity to get to know a bit of this artist cinema, who once more honors us with his presence in Belo Horizonte.
