Since I was little the image of my grandfather is connected to the bassoon, as a child I watched Peter and the Wolf all the time. The grandfather was the bassoon, mine was too. They say that when a couple is together for a long time they start to look alike. Perhaps this is the case with my grandfather and the bassoon.

"Common Place" is a documentary video conceived and produced by immigrants and refugees from Latin America, Africa and the Middle East upon their arrival in the city of São Paulo, Brazil, combined with the images captured by the director, Lucas Rached, during the war in Lebanon in 2006.

The movie narrates the encounter between the directors and Hebert Trinta. The character visits the National Library and other cultural centers in Rio on a daily basis for over 30 years. With an enviable memory, he lives doing lots of researches and attends almost all cocktails and vernisages in the city. Recently, Trinta was in the magazine "Piauí" and appeared on the TV show "Programa do Jô ".

"Lugares" is a poetic documentary that want to express the surroundings and the internal of abandoned spaces. The small towns in the Vale do Paraíba, Rio de Janeiro, where nothing happens, are contrasting against the city of São João Marcos, apex of the disappearance as physical place, but permanent as memory and reverie.

The documentary deals with the recent changes that occurred in the Largo da Batata in São Paulo. The place has one hundred years of stories and experiences that add up in a unique atmosphere, which many may be lost with retirement. The film tries through a poetic language to present the Largo, and preserve his memory.
